Like the disciples, even as we follow Jesus, sometimes life can get difficult. Some lessons, like that in John 6, at first, can be hard to understand. Many followers of Jesus thought this lesson was too hard to understand; so they turned away. Jesus turned to the 12 and asked if they were going to leave, also. Simon Peter’s response was so beautiful and so true, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.” My niece came face to face with death the day I wrote this song and cancer threatened the life of my friend. Who else has the words of eternal life? To whom shall we go? Run to Jesus, He’s the Only One, the Holy One of God.
